Ofqual regulated qualification accredited by Qualsafe Awards

Paediatric First Aid - Level 3 (RQF) 12

£70.00

£525.00

The qualification aims to enable learners by enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations when looking after children.

This qualification fully meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage(EYFS) 2017, this will allow learners to be able to deal with a wide range of paediatric emergencies, illnesses and injuries.

The EYFS  states that at least one person with a paediatric first aid certificate must be on the premises and available at all times when children are present, and must also accompany children when they go on outings. We would advise settings to go over and above this requirement and even consider training for all staff. This will ensure first aid cover when staff are unwell or on holiday.

To access a copy of the Early Years Foundation Stage, please click here. Alternatively visit the Governments EYFS website page here.

Day 1

Day 2

During this qualification, learners are assessed by their trainer across 6 first aid competencies as follows:

At the end of the both days of teaching, there are multiple-choice papers for each learner to sit.

Successful completion of both of these question papers and practical assessments are required to successfully complete the qualification.

Successful learners will receive a Qualsafe Awards certificate, valid for a period of 3 years from the date of successful completion.

Qualsafe Awards recommend learners also complete annual refreshers to maintain their skills and keep up to date with any first aid procedures changes

The requirement of the Early Years Foundation Stage  is that this certificate is renewed before the certificate expiry date to remain a qualified paediatric first-aider

Fully meets the EYFS requirements.
